Future RAW GM Spoiler, WWE Going PG-13
As seen the past few weeks WWE creative has been trying to ease out of their strictly PG rating. This past week's Swimsuit Spectacular was the first sort of thing they have done with the Divas since the rating change. Although WWE management has stated they are strictly PG some things may slip into programming on the odd occasion.

JR Speaks On Possibly Seeing Edge Vs Jericho At WM26
Here is what JR had to say:
“I talked to Edge mere minutes after his Achilles tendon surgery last week and he had a more positive attitude about returning to the ring than most would. Edge has been faced with many challenges over his career and if any one can return and be as good as they were before they were hurt then it will be him. However, we should all be realistic about this situation as Achilles tendon injuries can be devastating for an athlete that maintains a schedule like Edge. My money is on Edge to return ready to rock, be more popular than ever and perhaps even possibly having a one on one match with Chris Jericho at WM26 which could be a show stealer. Yes, that’s all speculation but a guy can dream, can’t he?”

Bobby Lashley Says He Could Beat Brock Lesnar
He elaborated that he wants to fight Lesnar because he's the champ, not necessarily because he's taken a similar path to the world of Mixed Martial Arts.
"I'm not going to say anything bad on Brock because Brock is the champion. My sights are set on Brock and I'm not saying that I want to fight him because he is the wrestling guy," Lashley told ESPN Radio 1050. "I am saying that because I am a heavyweight fighter and he's the heavyweight champ. Eventually, I do want to fight Brock for that title."
Lashley says he already has a game plan in mind to beat Brock, but he won't reveal it before they fight.

WWE Wants Summerslam To Be Like Wrestlemania
A problem is that there is only 30 days between the next PPV Night Of Champions and Summerslam. Many people in the company feel that 30 days is not enough to hype the PPV up like Wrestlemania, so they might drop that PPV to have more time to hype it up.

[wrestling slang] FEUD
alliances of wrestlers. They are integrated into ongoing storylines, particularly in
events which are televised. Feuds may last for months or even years or be resolved
with implausible speed, perhaps during the course of a single match.
Feuds are often the result of the friction that is created between faces and heels .
Common causes of feuds are a purported slight or insult, although they can be
based on many other things, including conflicting moral codes or simple
professional one-upmanship such as the pursuit of a championship. Some of the
more popular feuds with audiences involve pitting former allies, particularly tag
team partners, against each other. Depending on how popular and entertaining the
feud may be, it is usually common practice for a feud to continue on for weeks,
usually building toward a match in a supercard.
Traditionally, most promoters wanted to "protect the business" by having wrestlers
act in character in public, and thus further convince the live audience that the
feuding wrestlers really did hate each other and looked to outdo each other.
Throughout the years, however, the wrestling business became more open, which
allowed the fans to see otherwise. An incident involving the The Kliq occurred
during a World Wrestling Federation house show, in which the face pair of Shawn
Michaels and Scott Hall embraced the heel pair of Kevin Nash and Triple H, thus
"breaking" this illusion.
While many feuds in professional wrestling are entirely fictional, there have been
successful feuds that actually originated from a real life rivalry and/or animosity
between wrestlers. A prime example of this was the off-screen feud between Bret
Hart and Shawn Michaels, who had genuine disdain for each other, evidenced by a
legitimate backstage fight between the two. Similarly, the on-screen feuds of Matt
Hardy and Edge and later, Mick Foley and Ric Flair both stemmed from a sincere
dislike for each other.

Matt Hardy Comments On His Injury
| Matt Hardy has posted a new blog on his official MySpace page, commenting on his abdominal injury and how long he's been working through the pain. Here is his complete blog: Well, since the news is out.. Let me buzz you all on something.. Well guys and gals, since the news has been leaked all over the 'net, I figured I should go ahead and address it truthfully. Yes, the rumors are true, I had some major surgery a couple of day ago. The triple threat match against MVP and Kofi in Green Bay was the straw that broke the camel's back. In a few days, I'm gonna blog on my WWE Universe page and fill everyone in on everything. But here's a little taste of how tough and annoying the last 2 years of my life has been. For two years, I've been working with a slight abdominal tear, a genetic defect that I was actually born with. Even though we torture ourselves every night in that ring for each of your guy's entertainment.. But don't get me wrong, we love it and chose to do it. The tear hasn't been anything that has really over-affected me performance-wise.. Until.. My appendectomy. From when I returned in April 2008, my abdominal tear became gradually worse. I was having a U.S. Title run I was very proud of.. So I sucked it up! I became the ECW Champion, and was having one of the best runs of my career, and the abdominal injury really started bothering me.. So I sucked it up! I wanted to get it fixed before it got really bad.. BUT.. I had an issue with Jeff on TV which would ultimately lead us to wrestling one another at THE show of all shows, Wrestlemania. So I sucked it up and got through it! Basically, in a nutshell, my intestines were slowly tearing through my abdomen.. Which affected my training greatly, my in-ring work, and my physical appearance. My intestines were slowly swelling because they were all outta wack and protruding through my abdominal wall. But I sucked it up and gave everything I had. I haven't been able to do a sit-up in two years. And as I totally expected, The lil "wanna be cool guys" that feel like bad-asses behind a keyboard LOVED to make comments about my weight gain because I was being lazy. Little did they know, or yet probably even care, that I've stayed constantly frustrated that I was dealing with these serious complications. Honestly, I only care about the personal friends and family that I have, that know my true deal.. It's only their opinions I take serious and to heart. Anybody who writes about me, whether good or bad, but especially bad.. I couldn't care less. I just say thanks for keeping me in the news. The night in Green Bay, when Kofi gave me a cross body from the top rope, my intestines exploded out through my abdominal wall.. And not just in one spot, but in two spots. I had to have it fixed, or face major health problems.. Problems that could have killed me. So as always, I do what's good for me, my career, friends, and loved ones. Hateful, ignorant comments made on the world wide web certainly doesn't bothered me-but sometimes give me a good laugh.. And my world is a world those people will never experience. I can actually get into the shape I wanna be in now.. Very excited about that. It's sushi time peeps, I'll be back soon to blog for guys again. Be well, and until then.. Edge Injured At Weekend Live Event
We received a report last night from a fan in attendance at the SmackDown/ECW live event in San Diego saying Edge was injured during his match with Jeff Hardy. The fan says Edge was running towards Jeff when it appeared he twisted or broke his ankle and that his foot was in a very awkward position. The match was stopped an EMT’s came running to Edge and he was helped to the back. Edge then got on the mic to tell the fans "sorry."
Furthermore, Dave Meltzer says the injury may be a torn Achilles tendon and that they had only been actually wrestling for about a minute. This would be a serious injury for one-half of the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions that would likely require surgery and put him out of action for a while.
Meltzer also reports that WWE is most likely going to try and figure out a way to get the belts on Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase and if you haven’t read the spoilers for next week, we will find out more about that on Monday. Word is that WWE is looking at footage of the Edge vs. The Great Khali match taped on Wednesday night next Friday’s SmackDown to see if there’s a spot in the match where they can claim a storyline injury happened.
Jeff Hardy Still Undecided On His Future
When asked if he'll continue to work for WWE, Hardy said, "I don't know."
"I am 31 years old now and I don't like making plans for the future," Hardy said. "I can wrestle until I am 40 but I don't want to make plans, I don't like thinking about what could happen between now and the next five years."
From what I've heard, the majority of the roster feels he is going to take several months off, however, WWE is still trying to re-sign him.

[review]TNA Slammiversary 2009 PPV
**Review by Tom Dawkings
The British Invasion d. Rhino & Eric Young, Brutus Magnus Doomsday Uppercut -- pin Jesse Neal (5:35, *1/2). Rhino gets a big pop. End came when EY walked out on Rhino, then Jesse Neal (with his hair still looking like a total train wreck) came out and the ref let him become Rhino's tag team partner, but was immediately destroyed.
Nice Fully Loaded 1999 opening.
X champion Suicide d. Lethal Consequences and the Motor City Machine Guns in a King of the Mountain match (23:30, ***1/2). Nice booking; KOTM to open, KOTM to close. Alex Shelley was the star of that match here and got the biggest pop. Fun opener and TNA needs more of that and less of the rest.
Back-to-back Shane Douglas promos. Douglas can't go a promo without mentioning Flair, ECW or the Kliq.
Daniels d. Shane Douglas w/ gut and half tanned arms, Best Moonsault Ever -- pin (8:10, **). Douglas was terrible as he can't even run the ropes properly or do the Memphis heel tactics as he got winded fast. This match should have ended with Douglas sucking up all the air in the arena to keep himself moving and pins Daniels as he and everybody else in the arena start gasping for air due to the lack of oxygen. Anyways, this wasn't a half bad match tbh. Wasn't anything mindblowing, but it certainly wasn't bad. In the end, Douglas jobs cleanly. Back to Summer School, Dean.
Knockouts champion Angelina Love d. Tara, downward spiral -- pin (6:50, **). Okay match; Tara looked strong as Angelina retained through sneaky heeliness, so by order of TNA Management, this feud must continue!
Abyss & Taylor Wilde d. Raven & Daffney in a Monster's Ball match, Abyss black hole slam into the thumbtacks -- pin Raven (14:10, ***1/2). This was awesome, despite Taylor looking out of place and Raven and Daffney proved they still belong out there; they exceeded all expectations, but poor Daffney taking a bump on the tacks.
Sting d. Matt Morgan, scorpion death drop off the middle rope -- pin (10:00, **). Sting as always, is super, super over. Oh man, when was the last time Sting did a missile dropkick? Anyways, they screwed up the float-over into the Death Drop, but nice recovery by Morgan and the match had a nice finish. The whole MEM stip reminds me, you gotta love how the Frontline just quietly died.
Beer Money d. TNA tag team champions Team 3D, DWI -- pin Devon (17:00, ***1/2). Man, that was an epic reign by 3D. They spent more time talking about how great the tag division is than actually wrestling and then lost the belts on their first defense. Anyways, this was the best tag match I've seen in a long long time and I love Bubba's Balding Mohawk.
Kurt Angle w/ hobo beard and hair d. TNA champion Mick Foley, Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett & AJ Styles in a King of the Mountain match (21:30, ****). Joe looks like Abdullah the Butcher and Angle looks like Wanderlei Silva here. End came when Joe faked an injury as AJ was climbing the ladder, then when AJ wasn't looking Joe powerbombed him off the ladder and started climbing as Angle started up the other side and just as he was about to hang the belt, Joe handed it to Angle who hung the title and won. I just got swerve'd. Both KOTM matches were awesome. As much as I don't know what to think of the Joe swerve yet, the match itself was awesome so I'll pick that.
Final Thoughts: I think this was TNA's best PPV of the year. Easily. I enjoyed both KOTM matches very much and the Monsters Ball and the tag title match was great as well. Sting-Morgan, Tara-Love, and Daniels-Douglas were the only low points, but they were OK matches.
[article]Wrestling Workout - Can You Train for Wrestling Online?
**Article by Chess McDoogle
Now days you can do just about everything online, including various forms of exercise and fitness. There are full programs and routines you can find online and then train them right at home.
What about a wrestling workout?
While not as common as other forms of online fitness, it is possible to get on a good wrestling workout online.
What are some of the advantages of online wresting training?
The best advantages to online wrestling training is that you can learn all the basics on your own time and at your own speed. You can go over and over specific moves, and practically master these moves on your own.
The problem with classes are limited time, and the sped up nature that most of the classes practice. I took jujitsu for several months and had a hard time remembering the moves from class to class. I later discovered online workouts where I could watch and repeat the moves over and over, gaining a much better understanding of technique.
What are the disadvantages of online wrestling training?
The disadvantages of online training are that you lack a real life teacher that can physically be there and take you through specific moves. Also, unless you have a training partner, you will obviously miss out on the physical nature of wrestling someone else.
Nevertheless, a wrestling workout online will give you a major head start when and if you join a team or a class. You can be way ahead of the others, and gain major understanding ahead of time of holds, locks, and technique.
Here's an excellent online wrestling workout site that you can train with at home - http://www.squidoo.com/wrestlingworkout
[article]Wrestling Rumors
**Article by Andrew Cuningham
Wrestling rumors, that dreaded phrase that you find when searching for backstage news on WWE or TNA. But what exactly are wrestling rumors and where do they come from?
The wrestling business itself is a very secretive industry and unlike other industries like Hollywood or video gaming, wrestling tries to keep the lid closed on what's going on, not open it up for all to see. Video game companies send out games to magazines and websites to write previews and give details on the various gaming modes. Soap Operas leak their storylines to magazines to garner more interest and on the sets of movies literally hundreds of media outlets get sit downs with the top stars.
Wrestling is much different. Because the idea is to suspend the viewer's disbelief, in other words present the product as real, it's counter productive to reveal all the backstage goings on and where a storyline is heading. This is where wrestling rumors come in.
Over the years various wrestling reporters have slowly built up friendships and contacts in the business, who they can go to, off the record to get "insider" details on storylines or any backstage incidents. Because a lot of the time they can't reveal who told them something (in fear that they'd lose their job for leaking news) the reporter cannot write "so and so said that..." This leads to several scenarios. They can either say "sources within the WWE or TNA have revealed that..." or they can say "it is rumored that..." This is where rumors come from. If a reporter has something confirmed from multiple people and all the pieces fit in to place then they can often just call it news, but if one wrestler leaks something and there is no way to back it up, then it will be written as a rumor.
Although a lot of people refuse to visit wrestling rumors sites, 9 times out of 10 rumors turn out to be true or have an element of truth as the story develops. As they say there's no smoke without fire and its rare for something to get leaked for political reasons or to deliberately make people look bad.
A lot of what is written in national newspapers or in books is from only a few sources, its just that in wrestling people have to be protected, so what would be wrestling news has to be reported as wrestling rumors.
One of the big mistakes people make is visiting the official websites of wrestling companies. These sites play in to the storylines that you see on TV and anything they write should be double checked with the real sites that report backstage news and wrestling rumors to see if it is the truth or part of the show.
For as long as the wrestling business remains secretive then there will continue to be wrestling rumors.
[article]Wrestler's Diet
**Article by Don Yacono
The wrestler's diet has a profound impact on overall performance. Wrestling is a very physically demanding sport. Proper nutrition helps a wrestler feel strong both physically and mentally. But, the wrong diet can leave a wrestler feeling weak, dehydrated, and cramped up.
Many wrestlers do not receive the proper nutrition that is required to compete in this physically demanding sport. This is generally due to a wrestler's "low priority approach" to his nutritional needs and/or misinformation.
Successful wrestlers know that good nutrition is an essential component of their daily training ritual. They realize that good eating habits help them compete at a much higher level.
Here is some good nutritional advice for wrestler's of all ages:
Stay Hydrated
Water is a very important part of your daily diet and is necessary for optimal performance. Try to consume one liter of water for every thousand calories of food consumed per day. Sport drinks are also a great way to replenish nutrients lost from practices and competition. It is not a good idea to totally deprive your body of water when trying to make weight. It is best to consume a few ounces of water every two to three hours while you are in the process of drying out.
Eat Frequent Meals In Small Portions
This is recommended especially if you are trying to drop down to a lower weight class. By eating smaller portions, your metabolism speeds up and more calories are burned off. This method will also help to stabilize blood sugar levels and provide a more steady supply of nutrition throughout the day. It is recommended that you eat from several different food groups so that you receive a large variety of nutrients.
Eating frequent meals in smaller portions is a much better way for a wrestler to lose weight as compared to just starving yourself. While the starvation method does work, it will also leave you feeling weak or run down.
Eat Vegetables
It is important for wrestlers to eat a steady supply of vegetables every day. Vegetables contain several important vitamins and minerals that are necessary for good health. They are also generally free of fat and high in fiber. Eating vegetables is a good way for you to fill up, but not feel fat. They also contain antioxidants which help the body fight off disease and illnesses.
Complex Carbohydrates
Complex carbohydrates are a great source of energy. They are found in healthy foods such as fruit, whole grains, and vegetables. It generally takes longer for your body to digest complex carbohydrates than simple carbohydrates such as refined or processed foods. Since it takes longer to digest complex carbohydrates, you feel fuller longer and do not need to eat as much. Complex carbohydrates supply a steady stream of energy with a limited amount of fat. Some other examples of complex carbohydrates are oatmeal, brown rice, baked potatoes, and whole grain cereals.
Protein Is A Must
Protein is essential for the formation of healthy muscles, bones, blood, and skin cells. Unfortunately, it is not stored in the body. So it is necessary to get a steady dose of protein every day. Some of the best sources of dietary protein are fish, whole grains, beans, nuts, lean poultry, and red meat. It is important to remember that plant foods such as legumes or soy supply as much protein as meats.
Drink Fruit Juices And Skim Milk - Not Soda !
Let's all face the fact that pop has absolutely no nutritional value! It is much better to stick with fat free 100% fruit juices. They provide vitamins C, D, and calcium. Fruit juices also contain phytonutrients that are known to help fight off disease.
Drinking skim milk helps to lower your caloric and fat intake considerably. While at the same time you are still receiving the same amount of calcium that you would normally get from from drinking a glass of 1% or 2% milk.
Forbidden Foods
It is important to remember that a wrestler's diet should consist of eating healthy foods that provide good nutritional value. Foods such as soda, potato chips, candy, and McDonald's have no place in a wrestler's diet during wrestling season.

[wrestling slang] Jobbers
The term can be used a number of ways. When a wrestler is booked, or scripted, to lose a match it is described as "a job." The act itself is described with the verb jobbing. To lose a match fairly is to job cleanly. A loss through outside interference, cheating, or a reversed decision is called a screwjob. Wrestlers who routinely lose matches are known as jobbers.
Although most jobs are routine, a high-profile loss might signify certain behind the scenes events that have real-life implications on a wrestler. A job may mark the end of a push, a departure from the company, or a loss of faith in the wrestler as a marketable commodity. As a result, it may also mark a downward slide in a wrestler's career. This is especially the case when the wrestler is beaten very easily, or squashed.
The act of losing is called jobbing and a frequent loser is referred to as a jobber. It is a mark of disrespect to refer to a wrestler as a jobber, as it implies they are a failure in their career, equivalent to the term tomato can in boxing. The term has entered into popular culture, to mean a loser or someone who is worthless, as well as jabroni, a phrase that was popularized by Iron Sheik in the 80s and used later by The Rock.
A slightly higher position is jobber to the stars, which is a wrestler who still defeats pure jobbers but who consistently loses to top-level or up-and-coming stars. This often happens to popular faces towards the end of their careers, including Tony Garea, Tito Santana, and, more recently, Val Venis, Tommy Dreamer, and Jim Duggan. Triple H was given this role in the summer of 1996 by Vince McMahon as punishment for the infamous Madison Square Garden Incident.

Wresting Terminologies
FACE : He is the heroic character, one who is cheered by the crowd.Traditional faces are classic good guy characters who do not break the rules, follow instructions of those in authority such as the referee, are polite and well-mannered towards the fans, and often overcome the rule-breaking actions of their heel opponents to cleanly win matches. While many modern faces still fit this model, other versions of the face character are now also common.
The portrayal of face wrestlers changed in the 1990s with the birth of Extreme Championship Wrestling, the start of World Championship Wrestling's nWo storyline, and the The Attitude Era of the World Wrestling Federation. During this time, wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Sting used tactics traditionally associated with heels but remained popular with the fans. Although wrestlers such as Dick the Bruiser, Crusher and Freddie Blassie had been faces while using such tactics well before this, the Attitude Era is usually credited with this new kind of face.
Conversely, Kurt Angle was introduced to the World Wrestling Federation with an American hero gimmick based on his gold medal win at the 1996 Summer Olympics. In his promos, Angle presented himself as a role model and stressed the need to work hard to realize one's dreams. Although such a personality appears appropriate for a face wrestler, Angle's character was arrogant, talked down to the audience, and behaved as if he thought he was better than the fans. Angle's character served as a meta-reference to how wrestling had changed. Although his character was intended to be a heel and behaved accordingly, some commentators speculated that if Angle attempted to get over as a babyface using a more heroic version of the same character, he would have failed. Notably, Angle did not use any of these heroic mannerisms when playing a face character, instead acting as somewhat of an antihero with a few elements of the "lovable loser" character archetype.
Fans sometimes boo face wrestlers despite the way they are promoted. Some reasons this may occur include repetitive in-ring antics, a limited moveset, a lengthy title reign, lack of selling his/her opponents' moves, or an uninteresting character. This often results in wrestlers who are supposed to be cheered receiving a negative or no reaction from the fans. The Rock, who initially wrestled as Rocky Maivia (November 1996 to August 1997), was depicted as a classic babyface, but the fans despised him. His constant attempts to get the crowd on his side struck them as obsequiousness and made him even less popular. John Cena has a history of receiving mixed reactions from crowds despite being presented as a babyface.
HEEL :In professional wrestling, a heel is a villain character.[1] In non-wrestling jargon, heels are the "bad guys" in pro wrestling storylines. They are typically opposed by a babyface or more simply, face (crowd favorite). Some tweeners (not explicitly regarded as good or bad) exhibit heel mannerisms. Heels are often portrayed as behaving in an immoral manner, breaking rules or otherwise taking advantage of their opponents outside the bounds of the rules of the match. Others do not (or rarely) break rules, but exhibit unlikeable personality traits. No matter the type of heel, the most important job is that of the antagonist role. Heels exist to provide a foil to the face wrestlers. If a given heel is cheered over the face, a promoter may opt to turn that heel to face, or to make the wrestler do something even more despicable to encourage heel heat.
